Baby Kangaroo

A small child takes up all a person’s free time, especially the free time of a mother. After all her motherly duties and household chores are done she and her husband hardly have any time together.

This is one reason why a mother chooses often to use a Baby Kangaroo, otherwise known as a baby carrier. It straps onto a person and in the front the baby is held.

However, a baby carrier is not always positioned so the baby is carried in the front. There are times when it may be carried in the back.

The Purpose

The purpose of a backpack is to make it easier for a woman to attend to her basic responsibilities around the house. She can do many indoor and outdoor chores while her baby is being held by her.

Women sometimes use a Baby Kangaroo instead of a stroller. It may even be used while doing light yard work or while shopping at the grocery store.

A Concern

Some people may think that using a baby carrier is hard on the back and spine. Usually it depends on how it is made. The better ones will not even cause any kind of friction at all to a woman.

Sometimes people also wonder how safe a carrier is for a child or baby. Well, simply put the apparatus should be appropriate size and durability. It should accommodate the weight of your newborn, toddler, or small child.

Carrying Guide

There are different ways to carry a child. Usually the way you do this depends on how old your baby or child is right now.

Usually a child is carried one of three ways:

  1. In the front, Facing you-Usually a newborn or babies that are not very old are the ages of children that would be positioned this way. This is so that the infant can rest his head on the mom’s (or dad’s) chest while sleeping. The heartbeat helps the baby to fall asleep, too.
  2. In the front, facing outward-As a baby gets older he or she may want to be able to explore more than sleep. If you face the child outward in front of you the little one can see exactly how you see and see ahead of you as you walk. Your child can also look side to side as well.
  3. In the back, facing outward-Placing the baby or toddler in the back of you facing outward may be a little bit more convenient. You can especially use this method while sitting at the computer or completing certain household chores.
  4. In the back, facing you-This is said to be the safest way to do household chores while you carry a baby around. It has a disadvantage, however. The hugest disadvantage is that the baby would be facing your back most of the time rather than viewing around him/her.

Selection Guide

The Kangaroo Baby sack you use is chosen based on certain criteria. For instance, there are ones made for babies who are from 0 to 3 months. They other alternative is to choose them as fit for a certain child weight.

The 0 to 3 months are usually made for babies who cannot yet hold their head. Then, you usually can find ones that are made for a baby who is of the age 3 months to a year.

You might find one that is multifunctional, in that it works for a newborn as well as a baby who is up to a year old. Then, you can find Baby Kangaroo sacks that are appropriate even for toddlers and small children.

Another consideration besides age and/or weight of your child is the width of the belts. The recommendation is that they are broad and dense to hold your child properly on your back.
